Many of our prior Circle of Christian Living evenings have  featured selections from the Gospel, other biblical passages, and  poems referencing our topic or theme for discussion. But the real joy and value of these sessions seems to me to have often come when we  shared from our own lives and experiences. At Tuesday evening’s session, let’s open up discussion to sharing whatever each of us would like to bring forth about our personal  experience of prayer.

The Circle is a place in the church community where interested people get together to explore a range of issues related to following a Christian path. It is not a group therapy session or an extended discussion of personal problems. Nor is it primarily a social occasion, we do not serve food or drink. We explore Christian spirituality, its application to our personal lives and to our engagement with the wider world we inhabit. It is a small, supportive group; a safe environment for “spiritual conversation”. We hope to provide a source of support for individuals in their personal struggles with matters of faith and practice. Our meetings are led by members of the group on a rotating basis, with the facilitator providing a brief reading, reflection, or question to focus the discussion for the evening. This group meets regularly on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in Sue Lawson’s home, however the September meeting will take place on the 2nd Tuesday in September.
