Christmas Eve Service
Fri, Dec 24, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Dear Friends and Members of LSBCC,
Some of you have called in to let me know you would like a seat in the sanctuary for our 7:30PM Christmas Eve Worship. Currently, I have heard from 32 of you that you would like to be physically present, and that you are willing to abide by the protocols established by the Council and the Safely Reopen Subcommittee.
Our capacity cap has been set at 50, so if you have been thinking about attending Christmas Eve in person, please call the church office by Thursday noon, so we can plan seating for you.
Our safety protocols are attached below in a document called Christmas Eve Hybrid Update. Basically, we are asking everyone who comes to be fully vaccinated, to wear a CDC recommended mask properly over nose and mouth, to understand that the sanctuary may be chilly because the windows will be open–you are welcome to bring a cozy blanket, and that out of respect for community health, you will worship from home if you have been recently exposed to Covid or have any symptoms of a cold, cough, flu, or Covid. Please carefully read the attached document below the letter stationery, so you understand the parameters for in person worship.
All of us in these strange times must assess our own tolerance for risk. Whether you choose to come in person to worship on Christmas Eve or worship with us virtually, I pray
that together, we will have a meaningful and joyful Christmas celebrating the birth of the Christ-Child and what that means for our lives!
A zoom link will be made available to our virtual worshippers early Friday afternoon.
I encourage virtual worshippers to have a candle, the light of which we will all share at the end of our worship.
How I look forward to seeing you, whether virtually or in person, Friday night, Christmas Eve at 7:30pm! Danielle Crook and David Larstein have beautiful music to share with us as we think about the oh so familiar story perhaps in a new way.
With love,
Jane
