We begin a three part series facilitated by Hospice of Santa Cruz, entitled, “Living Well, Dying Well.” This first evening will be a showing of the movie “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande, followed by a short discussion. Dr. Gawande raises important issues around medical care for the dying and the discomfort the medical profession often has discussing chronic illness and death with their patients. An important film for those caring for the aging and those who want to be able to make informed choices. This series is free and we encourage you to invite community members who might be interested in this topic.
