We Welcome, Kate Kendell 

On Sunday February 7, La Selva Beach Community Church will celebrate ten years as an Open & Affirming congregation. What better way to celebrate the decision to issue an explicit welcome to all individuals, than by hosting Kate Kendell?
If you haven’t had a chance to hear Kate, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. As Executive Director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights, Kate Kendell has worked tirelessly as an advocate for civil rights. So much so that in 2010, she was named a “woman who could be president” by the League of Women Voters of San Francisco.

In addition to hearing from Kate, we will honor youth leaders who have stood up for equality and justice in their school communities. Please join us to thank Kate for her dedication to working for the civil rights for everyone.
